Life and Times of Cole Plaster

Cole and I went over to the “new house” last week with Aunt Mari, who took pictures of Cole in the construction outfit she gave him. He was on his best behavior, and this may be the first time I’ve seen him actually pose for pictures. Next time we’ll have to get pictures of him in his bedroom.

Cole saw his first movie at the movies today - Up. It wasn’t in 3-D. I was disappointed at first, but it may be a blessing because it would have considerably raised his expectations of how great a movie can be. We took a picture to document the occasion.

Cole spent last week with Pop and Madi. He went swimming every day and made a lot of progress. He’ll jump in the pool and can hold his breath under water for 5 to 10 seconds. He’s also kicking very well. Now that he’s fearless in the water but not quite swimming on his own, we’ve signed him up for private lessons. Hopefully by the next time he sees Pop, he’ll really be swimming.

Cole got to meet my childhood friend, Molly Kauerz on Sunday night.

Cole has been talking up a storm lately. He has the sweetest little voice, and ever since Gabby was born, he asks me “You want to hold me?” And I say “Of course I want to hold you!” He’s really started showing interest in Gabby and tries to help out by giving her the pacifier, asking how she is, and yesterday, he even got a blanket for her because he thought her feet were cold.

Cole received a lot of compliments on his B is for Bob (Marley) shirt while we were walking along the beach in Santa Monica. Here he is on his first merry-go-round ride. He was too chicken to ride on a horse.

We all had lunch with great grandpa Jack.

We went to the Getty Villa. Good thing we didn’t feel like we had to see all the exhibits because Cole liked to hear his voice echo in the galleries.

Cole’s #1 favorite breakfast food is a muffin. He likes to save the muffin top, and I was a mean mommy when I took a bite. Too bad I didn’t get a video of the tantrum he threw.
